- Memphis Kiddie Park COVID-19 Update
May 6, 2020
Memphis Kiddie Park has opened every summer for the past 68 years and 2020 would have been our 69th. It does feel strange to wake up on a sunny day and not hear the happy crowds on our midway. Safety has always been our #1 concern, so staying closed for now just seems like the least we can do to protect our employees, friends and community, allowing us to get back on our feet sooner rather than later.
While our ride tickets never expire, some of our special offers, like birthday rewards for our club members, do. So, we have taken the step to ignore any expiration date in 2019 and extend that date through the end of 2021 regardless of what date we may open this season. Hang onto those letters, emails, and coupons as they will retain their value.
As of now, we do not know when the authorities will deem it safe for us to open. In the meantime, we are exploring our options and working with our trade group, the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions, to see how best we can move forward in the new normal. As soon as we have any updates, we will post them here.
We at Memphis Kiddie Park wish everyone the best as we battle our way through this pandemic. Our hearts and prayers are with you and we look forward to the day we can welcome you back.
Meanwhile, stay safe!
